Description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. Here is really a nice Mustang. Built in San Jose and ordered from the Los Angeles area, this 1968 model spent most of its years in the dry southwest, allowing it to enjoy a rust-free life. It underwent a complete and well-done restoration last year, resulting in a beautiful Mustang. The exterior of the car is nice and straight, top and bottom. Be sure to check out the underside pictures too. Originally Sunlit Gold, it was repainted Candyapple Red, which is tough to beat on a classic Mustang. Chrome and moldings were replaced or reconditioned for a nice shine. The Mustang also received 17" aluminum Torq-Thrust wheels with Nitto Motivo tires (215/50 front, 245/45 rear) which provide a great accent to the car. The 289 cubic inch engine was rebuilt and converted to a 4-barrel setup topped by a Motorcraft carburetor. The C4 automatic transmission and 8" rear end were redone as well. The car starts easily and runs great; this is a very smooth drivetrain. The entire engine compartment is nicely detailed as well and includes an export brace for reduced chassis flex. The suspension, steering, and brakes have all been replaced to give a nice driving and reliable car. Note this car has power steering and manual brakes. The interior has been beautifully redone in black. It almost has a new car scent to it, as most everything has been replaced. The seats are quite comfortable with new foam and seat covers. All gauges work properly, as do the horn, wipers, and heater / defroster. The emergency brake and hazards are also fully functional, as are the neutral safety switch and backup lights. All windows go up and down smoothly too. This is a great example of a quality restoration done on a solid platform, and the result not only looks gorgeous but runs great too. And of course you couldn't duplicate this car for near the asking price, making this classic Mustang a very nice deal as well.
