This beautiful 1954 Corvette has received a highly detailed Body-Off Restoration. The car runs and drives like new. The undercarriage is as clean as the rest of the car. This is a show car and it looks best with the top down with the beautiful interior in full view. The engine is beautiful enough to look natural in a car museum, and this car would look great in any fine car collection. This car has been kept in an insulated garage.
This beautifully restored 1954 Corvette has recently undergone a comprehensive restoration. Brilliantly finished in Polo White with a red vinyl interior .It's a near-perfect early Corvette restoration. The body is exceptionally restored. The paint is actually lacquer, not modern urethane, and it exactly duplicates the original finish with a soft gloss that looks very vintage and correct. Corvettes, particularly the early ones, are some of the most challenging vehicles to restore. There just can't be many 1954 Corvettes nicer than this one. The chrome and other brightwork have been expertly restored as well, from the beautiful baskets over the headlamps to the slender and wonderfully stylish rear bumpers. The only piece of glass on a '54 Corvette is the wrap-around windshield, and it is brand new and completely unmarked. They were definitely roadsters in the purest sense. Red vinyl was 1 of two choices in 1954 (the other being beige vinyl), but on a white car, it really makes the car stand out. Stunning in execution and contrasting so vividly with the Polo White paint, this Corvette's cockpit is as accurate as it is stylish. In 1954, power still came from Chevrolet's reliable and surprisingly strong Blue Flame inline 6 cylinder engine, which was renamed the Corvette Special 6 in 1954. Equipped with dual side-draft carburetors and exhaling through a true dual exhaust system, the engine has been fully rebuilt to stock specifications and runs beautifully. The block and head are bathed in the correct blue paint, and all the little details are correct, from the hoses and clamps, to the throttle cables, to the fittings on the fuel lines on each carburetor. The fully restored X-frame chassis deserves to be displayed. Brakes are 11-inch drums all around, which provide better than expected performance given the Corvette's light weight, and it rolls on 15-inch steel wheels with full wheel covers featuring simulated spinners. Tires are correct specification 6.70-15 wide whitewall bias-ply units that fill the wheel wells nicely. It's very rare to find a 1954 Corvette restored to this level This car is outfitted for competition at the very highest levels and has already been a “Best in Show” winner at a car show. It would be virtually impossible to duplicate this car at this level for the asking price. Ultimately, these remain fun cars to drive and beautiful machines to look at.
