Highland Green Metallic ... Black vinyl roof ... Black interior ... 289 CID V-8 ... Automatic ... Full rotisserie restoration ...
The Ford Mustang was one of the most popular cars produced in the 1960s, and it was not without reason. Sporty styling, excellent performance, a comfortable ride—and an attractive price—proved just the ticket with a whole generation of American car buyers. 50 years after its introduction, the iconic Mustang’s pull is just as strong.
This beautiful 1968 Ford Mustang is finished in its original color of Highland Green Metallic and features a new Black vinyl top and White GT accent stripes. Its finish has a beautiful luster that is further accentuated by new chrome and brightwork with a mirror-like finish. Optional fog lamps, chrome-tipped dual exhaust and rally wheels complete the package.
The completely new interior is equally pleasing, with vinyl seats finished in Black. The dashboard, door panels, and carpeting show as new. You will also appreciate its power steering and power front disc brakes, providing an even more satisfying driving experience. The original AM radio adds a touch of authenticity.
Under the hood is a heavily chromed 289 CID V-8 with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor and intake and a SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic three speed automatic transmission. The car shows 92,700 miles, but has traveled only 1,500 miles since its complete rotisserie restoration. Best of all, this car runs and drives as well as it looks.
This car’s full rotisserie restoration was completed in 2011, during which virtually no part of the car’s mechanicals and cosmetics was left untouched. Work undertaken included the following:
• Complete stripping of all metal
• Laser –straight repaint in original color
• New chrome
• New vinyl top
• New interior
• Rebuild of top portion of engine
• Rebuild of transmission
• New brakes
• New suspension
• New dual exhaust
All receipts related to the car’s restoration will be provided to the next owner of this car. In addition, over 100 photographs documenting the car’s restoration will be included with sale, and can be provided pre-purchase upon request.
If a get in and go Mustang with a meticulous restoration is what you desire, this is the pony for you!
