Looking for a killer Mustang that’s going to stand out from the pack? Want to go fast and look good doing it? This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 resto mod is the car for you.
First thing’s first: this car is a genuine 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with a 351 cubic inch V8. It is the real McCoy. No doubt about it. Sometimes, though, that’s just not enough. This car has been enhanced in a number of ways, and in our opinion, it makes for a much more streetable and enjoyable car to drive than the boys at Ford could ever have hoped to do back in 1970.
Firstly, there are four wheel disc brakes. This Mustang will stop on a dime if you need it to – a far cry from the drums of old. Popping the hood shows a much-improved 351 Cleveland V8 as well, and it’s been built with the best parts available. An aluminum intake helps save weight, exhaust headers help it breathe freely, and an all-new Painless wiring harness makes sure that everything works exactly as it should, and will continue to do so for years to come. A new master cylinder and brake booster ensure that this car will remain safe to drive, too. Turn the key, put it in drive (with a new FMX auto transmission, mind you), and go anywhere without worry.
On the inside, there are Corbeau racing seats. These can easily be removed and replaced with the original black seats, though, if that’s your fancy. Nothing on this car is cut, hacked, or ruined. It’s been enhanced for driving in a modern environment, with its originality in mind. There’s a new Kenwood stereo pumping the tunes out, giving you a perfect sound track for rainy days, because let’s face it – when it’s dry, you know you’re going to want to put the windows down and listen to the Flowmaster exhaust.
The Competition Yellow paint job shines in the sun, and looks great. Wherever you go in this bright yellow Mustang, you’re sure to attract stares, thumbs up, and admirers, and rightfully so. This car comes with a whole slew of receipts, records, and documentation of all of the work completed. You won’t be disappointed.
