Description

Stk. 1841 1956 Ford Panel Truck
This 1956 Ford Panel Truck is anything but your typical driver. Conceived and created in 1996, this panel truck received a complete body makeover consisting of both front and rear areas being tubbed along with enlarging the rear fenders. The roofline was dramatically chopped four inches along with being pan caked and channeled seven inches. A Pinto glass rear hatch was incorporated in place of the typical double Dutch doors; and the lip in the center of the front hinged hood was extended to the windshield as well an electric/hydraulic lift system to open it. Once all the body seams, side air vent and cowl vents had been re-welded, smoothed and primed, the body received this gorgeous Paseco Red metallic paint scheme with Dark Maroon ghost flames. To finish off that lowered, bad to the bone demeanor, a trick set of chromed 17" American Racing Shelby wheels shod with Toyo 235/50/17 tires in front and 275/40/17 out back make it so. Underneath that sculpted front end lies a massive 429 CJ from a 1971 Thunderbird that dyno'ed at over four hundred horsepower coupled to a C6 three-speed automatic transmission driving an 8" Ford rear axle. Some unique engineering also took place underneath in the marriage of a Plymouth Volare sub-frame to its 1964 Thunderbird frame finished in black Emron with nifty blue pin striping. Traditional tube shocks up front and air shocks out back, round out the handling equation. The interior is truly a thing of beauty with its subtle flame theme extending from the exterior to the hand stitched door panels and side panels. An old school Ford logo was even hand sewed into the Mustang seatbacks and the center of the carpeted floor, along with matching custom throw pillows to boot. Yes if you want to cruise in custom style this summer… it doesn't get much cooler than this one! Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at www.autobarnclassiccars.com for more information.
