Description

A nice, solid, excellent running, rust free BGT being finished in our shop. ALWAYS in Californoia until purchased by a local fellow in Connecticut in 2011 Just came in on trade. Alas, its primary weak spot is the incredibly unattractive frog green paint. Body seems perfect, same with floors, sills, battery boxes, etc. But the color Read on....... Interior is excellent, windshield appears to be new (same with rubber moldings and seals), we installed a new grille, overriders (bumpers are excellent), new shocks, a lot of minor detail improvements, engine has excellent compression and oil pressure, no smoke, and is fitted with a 45 DCOE Weber carb. Feels far more powerful than any other seemingly stock MGB in inventory. Maybe just the Weber, maybe a cam? Dunno. But it is smooth and powerful. The original hood was modified a bit to give the car a racing look (minus grille) and fitted with huge driving lights. We removed the loights, installed a proper fitting hood from a parts car and also a new grille. Hence the snappy two tone look. Well the point of all of this is that we were about to have the car painted in BRG (which, with a black engine bay, would entail exterior, under the hood, door jambs, etc. BUT, for now, I think we will let it lie fallow. Want a beautiful rust free, wire wheel, excellent interior MGBGT in YOUR color? Red? Old English white? Dark blue? Take your choice. AND you can see how perfect (if rather ugly) it was prior to painting. The best way of knowing the new paint will last. Great opportunity to have one of the nicest and most usable classics for around $11,000 in any color.
