Description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.

Here is one slick Chevy. This 1958 Biscayne has a look all its own, from the satin-and-lace paint to the air-ride suspension, from the Stealth Star wheels to the tinted windows. You won't find another one like it.

This Biscayne was born at GM's Los Angeles plant. Before its transformation, it lived a nice quiet life in the southwest, avoiding both rust and major accidents. Of course, a straight solid car always makes the best candidate for customization. The car was soda blasted to bare metal before painting. Much of the work was done by TheShopNorCal in Sacramento, including the satin silver paint along with the lace work on all bumpers and trim. The body of the car is all matte finish, while the roof got the full lace treatment with rainbow flake clear. The LED taillights are a nice touch too.

The car retains its 235 cubic inch straight-6 motor, which runs great and also received some lace accents. The original Powerglide transmission and rear end are there as well. The brakes have been upgraded to discs up front for much improved stopping power. And of course there is the air suspension with drop spindles that really makes this car stand out. With its dual compressors and tanks, it can easily raise the car high enough to clear the worst speed bumps, or drop it right to the ground.

The interior is its original blue color with some updates throughout. The seats, carpet, and door panels are all in excellent condition. Note the custom headliner too. The steering wheel / dash retain their original configuration except for the suicide knob and Sony underdash head unit, which also feeds an auxiliary amplifier and subwoofer. The heater and horn both work, though the wipers are disconnected. Finally, there is a Viper alarm that includes remote door lock/unlock.

There isn't much more you can say about a car like this.
