This roadster was built by a retired owner/operator of a Bay Area hot rod shop as his personal retirement hot rod. No expense was spared.

The body is a Wescott Auto Restyling fiberglass "California Special". It is painted Toyota Wintermist Green, which appears silver blue in direct sunlight. The flames were painted by legendary custom painter Art Himsl, world famous for his incredible paint and flames. These flames are called "reverse 3D" due to their ability to appear to float above the paint. The car has had a 3" stretch in the hood area that increases the wheelbase from 106" to 109" creating a smoother ride and a longer and lower hot rod.

The aluminum hood was hand formed by Jack Hagerman with smooth hood sides and utilizes a Dan Fink hidden hood latch. The grille shell is an original 1932 piece that has been filled and dressed up with a Dan Fink billet stainless grille where thousands of dollars was spent on the polishing alone. Duvall style windshield. Filled cowl and a stock style firewall. No outside door handles for the smooth look. Hidden hinges. Trunk instead of a rumble seat with an inside trunk release. 6" molded rear rollpan and 1941 Chevy flush mounted taillights.

The interior was designed and built by "Bad Boys Toys". Glide industries seat covered in Ultra Leather. German square weave carpets. Filled hot rod style dash utilizing Ford Motorsports gauges mounted in a Haneline oval engine turned gauge insert. Tilt steering column. Leather and billet banjo style steering wheel.

The frame is by Dominator Fabrications and has had a 3" stretch in the hood area and tubular cross members. Chrome V-shaped spreader bar. Front end includes a TCI chrome 4" drop front axle and spring, Uni-steer rack and pinion steering, Chrome wishbones and 11" front disc brakes. The rear is a Ford 9" from a Torino with big bearings, 3:30 gears and big drum brakes.

The engine is a completely rebuilt 355 ci Vortec with an Edelbrock carb and intake that has been nicely detailed. Transmission is a rebuilt 700R4 overdrive automatic with an external cooler. Aluminum driveshaft and flanged exhaust system. Built with a 17 gallon fuel tank to give a little more distance between fillups. Vacuum operated hidden license plate keeps the car looking clean from the rear at the shows. Polished American Racing Torq Thrust mag wheels, 17x8 in the rear and 14x6 in the front. This hot rod runs and drives great and has accumulated approx. 10k miles since built. Titled and registered as a 1932 ford.
