For Sale: 1969 Ford Mustang in Marina, California

Vehicle Description

1969 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE
PROJECT
from
MustangBeginnings

Up for auction is a very complete 69 Mustang Convertible. The original six cylinder engine and manual transmission are still in the car.

We were about to begin work to fix the body on this Convertible, but we thought maybe someone would like to do some of the work to save some money. If the car does not sell now, we will finish the restoration as soon as the auction ends, and the price will be much higher when we are finished.

The car was originally Silver Jade, which is a beautiful color to begin with, but can be repainted to any color of your choice. The original top was Black with a Glass Backlight. Equipped with a 3 speed manual transmission, and AM Radio.  Mustang Convertibles brought buyers into the showrooms by the thousands and Ford’s strategy worked—selling more Mustangs than ever before.

Please see the pictures at the end of how this car could look when finished.

When fully restored, this car will easily sell for $40,000 or more.

BODY:
The frame of this Convertible is straight, which makes it a relatively easy car to restore. You will still need to put in new floor pans and rocker channels.

Overall this Mustang is a great candidate for restoration because it is so complete.

INTERIOR:
The interior will need work but the good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren’t accepting someone else’s mistakes or bad repairs.

All the wiring, instrument panel, seats, etc. will come with the car but will need to be restored.  The dash is in good shape but a new dash pad is needed.

Seats. We have both of the front buckets seats.  The rear seats are included as well. The door panels are included, but you probably want new ones anyway.

ENGINE BAY:
Engine bay is in great condition, and ready for cleaning and paint. The battery bay will need a little work but not much. The engine comes with the 3 speed manual transmission. Both engine and transmission will need to be rebuilt, but you would probably want to do that anyway.

BRAKE SYSTEM:
The mustang has front and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete.  If you would rather have front disk brakes, we can add those for $1,000.

GLASS:
The convertible will come with good door glass and side window glass.

MISC.
The Mustang comes with head light buckets, seats, and most all of its parts. I have a couple of contacts for all the other NOS stuff you may need

THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE, I ENCOURAGE ALL INTERESTED BUYERS TO COME SEE THE CAR FIRST IF POSSIBLE OR SEND SOMEONE HERE TO INSPECT IT.WE HAVE COMPLETED OTHER 69 MUSTANGS AND KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO COMPLETE THIS CAR. THIS IS A GOOD CAR TO START WITH. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A 69 MUSTANG THAT NEEDS TO BE REBUILT INTO SOMETHING SPECIAL. AGAIN, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL INTERESTED BUYERS TO CHECK THE CAR OUT IF POSSIBLE THAT WAY THERE ARE NO MISUNDERSTANDING, MISTAKES, MISCOMMUNICATION, ETC.
THE CAR MIGHT NEED THINGS WE DID NOT LIST BUT THE MAJOR ONES HAVE BEEN LISTED. WE PUT THE WORD “PROJECT” IN THE DESCRIPTION TO COVER ANYTHING WE MIGHT HAVE NOT SEEN.
