Description

1934 Chevrolet Phaeton When discussing 30s Street Rods, Fords tend to be the focus of the conversation. However, vintage Chevrolets are starting to make a comeback from this decade as you are seeing more and more of these cars on the classic/custom car show circuit. With the wide swooping fenders and tall grills these cars have a unique look that definitely sets them apart in a crowd. The beautiful Chevy you see here is known as a Phaeton and is a fresh build with only 10,000 miles since completion. Phaeton was originally used to describe lightweight open carriages but was later given to closed cars and is often interchanged with the description of a touring car. With a back seat it was thought these cars often had the appearance that a chauffeur belonged behind the wheel. This car still has that look being 100% luxurious from front to rear. Everything was extremely well done with no corners cut. The Old Chicago fiberglass body is coated in a very sleek 1988 Lincoln Pearl that combines perfectly with the Burgundy Carson Top. These Carson tops are perfect for old street rods and there are only a few manufacturers that are regarded with the same high quality product. Very well done pinstriping graces the side of the car, fanning out in the rear quarter panels to create a very nice look. The chrome side louvers on the hood has a very nice finish as does all of the chrome on this classic. The nice front grill sits between to large circle headlights which all work properly. Other exterior electrical includes the inset front turn signals and teardrop rear LED lights with third brake light. The glass/windows are all in good condition and have a professionally installed dark tint. On all four corners you will find Body Codington wheels that have a great shine. 18 wheels are up front with 20 in rear. If you thought this classic was going to follow in the style of many Ford street rods and have a tame 350 under the hood then guess again! This street machine is powered up by a LS1 motor which many would argue was one of the best motors built. They provide horsepower and reliability like you cant find in many older engines. Not only does it run well but this engine has a very nice finished with everything under the hood having nice paint or chrome. The valve covers have been accented with custom airbrushed Chevrolet bow ties that themselves look like they are shining. This all sends power through the 4L60 automatic transmission to the 9 Ford rear end to spin those back wheels. Disc brakes are in place on all 4 wheels and operate with zero issues. The Heidts front end set up provides a smooth ride down the road along the with coil overs. Moving onto the interior you will see everything is just as well done. It was completed using two tone Beige and Tan leather with a custom design the looks great. The split bench seat works perfectly in a car like this and with high adjustable backs is very comfortable. The dash is topped with this same leather and utilizes all billet knobs and components. A very cool matching Beige all in 1 gauge sits behind the wheel and has a vintage yet new age look. The tilt steering column is nicely painted white and fully adjusts the polished billet steering wheel. Coming down from the center of the dash is a custom console section the houses the AM/FM/CD player as well as the AC/Heat and power window controls. A Lokar shifter is nicely mounted to the floorboard and is a must have when it comes to street rods! If that isnt enough to convince you then call us today to take it for a drive! You wont regret it! This sweet ride can be yours for the low reduced price of $64,900.00! Consider Trade for 1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe
