1971 Chevrolet Corvette 1968 marked a big change for the Corvette line of cars. The extremely popular C2 Sting Ray body style was abandoned and completely redesigned producing the C3 Stingray (now 1 word.) This line of Corvettes would prove to be just as popular and many would argue the Stingray name was much more suited for these cars given the widened sloping front end. The cars were incredibly unique and thinking about that time period there just wasnt anything else out there quite like a Corvette. They were the ultimate status symbol in an American car. Yes the Cadillacs of the time were luxurious but if you wanted a fast sporty hot rod, you got a Corvette. This body style was also the first introduction of T-tops which would prove to be extremely popular in all of their subsequent models. This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette has a great look and runs very well. The black paint suits the car well and works perfectly with the subtle hints of chrome. The chrome bumpers are still in place and give the car a much more vintage look when compared to Corvettes 2 years later when the metal bumpers were removed. The cowl hood fits with the body lines perfectly and gives it a really sleek fast look. All of the exterior electrical is working properly and the lenses are in good condition. The T-tops fit nicely in place and are easily removable. They are a huge feature on these cars because they allow you to have an open top roadster or a air tight coupe depending on your mood. It only take a minute or two to remove/install the tops and it can easily be done by one person. The car rides on nice chrome Rally wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Powering the car is a big block 454 motor that provides plenty of horsepower. It runs very well and starts up smoothly. The block, manifold, and heads are all painted Chevrolet Orange and are topped with chrome valve covers with a chrome air cleaner. An automatic transmission backs up the motor and shifts smoothly. Power brakes are in place and slow the car to a stop with ease. The interior is done in the original style Black which works well with the Black exterior. The bucket seats are in good condition and sit to both sides of the original center console. This console houses the original components which include the emergency brake, automatic transmission shifter, and AC/Heat controls. It mates up to the dash where the original AM radio, seat belt indicator lights, door indicator lights, and auxiliary gauges are mounted. The original speedometer and tachometer sit in front of the driver and all work properly. Wood grain accents are found on both doors and along with the stainless trim pieces are all in good condition. This is one cool classic that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. There is nothing like taking a Corvette out and tearing up the streets on a nice day. This car is sure to bring you years of enjoyment while still being a good investment. Make this Corvette yours for only $29,450.00!
