Cadillacs 1941 models were, in a word, splendid automobiles. Harley Earls immensely talented design staff penned substantially new bodies for that year with distinctive grilles that, instead of using strong vertical center elements, used dramatic horizontal chrome elements that extended from fender to fender with more subtle egg crate vertical. The body also had widened fenders with integrated headlights and fog lights, chrome side vents in the hood and triple chrome spears on the pontoon front fenders, no longer allowing for sidemount spares. Rear fender skirts extended over the rear wheels and were highlighted by Cadillac emblems at the wheel centers. The unmistakable design was recognizable as a Cadillac after only even the briefest of glances, and it is noted as a milestone of Harley Earls design genius. This example is a fantastic Series 62 Convertible Sedan, one of only about 400 built during Cadillacs last year of selling four-door Convertible Sedan bodies. An older restoration with very good fit and finish, it a very pretty car thats no longer a show car finished in a pleasing maroon with a tan cloth convertible top and tan top boot. The red painted wheels have full chrome hub caps and are mounted with wide whitewall tires. The tan leather interior has contrasting maroon carpets, while the factory clock, radio and heater look fantastic nestled in the beautiful burled walnut grained dashboard. Also included are the operating manual and data book. Considered a Full Classic by the CCCA, the 1941 Cadillac is quite possibly the most popular choice for CCCA tours. Because of its reliability, comfort, and 150 horsepower V-8, it drives like a much newer automobile. This rare Convertible Sedan offers all of the attributes that make the 1941 Cadillac so fantastic, with the added bonus of open top motoring. It is a wonderful choice for long tours, scenic drives and participation in the wide range of CCCA activities.
