Description

Stk. 1800 1963 Chevrolet Nova Station Wagon

Once the Mini-Van was developed and successfully marketed to the masses, folks slowly started to make the switch. Eventually the desire for a smaller and more stylish version spawned the concept of the Sport Utility Vehicle, or S.U.V., and pretty much sealed the fate of the station wagon as we knew it. With that said, we at The AutoBarn are excited to offer this beautiful and rare1963 Chevrolet Nova Wagon. Originally painted from the factory in Azure Aqua (918) over Dark Aqua Imitation Leather (753), this Series 400 wagon was given a complete makeover seven years ago. Drenched in high gloss Black with custom yellow to orange flames over a Crimson Red vinyl interior transformed this Nova from grocery getter to absolute attention getter. Lurking under its custom steel cowl induction hood is a new 350 Chevy crate motor with chrome valve covers and air cleaner. Original cast iron exhaust manifolds route the gases through a Dyno Max dual exhaust system for that correct period sound. Speaking of sound, if the exhaust doesn't rock your world perhaps the Alpine/Kicker sound system will. With an Alpine AM/FM/CD head unit under the dash and custom Kicker subwoofer box behind the rear seat, you are assured great sound no matter which you decide to listen to. One of the main attractions inside the car has to be its pristine interior. From the custom tufted seats and door panels to the original style dash with modern black face Summit gauges incorporated this car says its all about getting down to business. Underpinning this badness is a stock sub-frame supporting dropped spindles with unequal length control arms in front and leaf spring suspension teamed up with air suspension in the rear. A Turbo 350 three-speed automatic channels the power to a 3.73:1 Chevy ten bolt rear end. Disc brakes up front with drums out back help bring this wagon to a stop while chromed American Racing Torque Thrust wheels shod with skinny145/78S/R15 Firestones up front and meaty 215/60/R15 out back completes the package.
