Description

1930/32 Ford All Steel Hiboy Roadster. SEE VIDEO.

There's no doubt that the 1930/32 Fords are more popular today than even when first produced over 80 years ago. The lines are timeless and have been the basis for some great individual custom rods over the years.

This car is a beautiful 1930/32 Ford Roadster with an all-steel Brookville body, built with meticulous attention to detail.

Exterior: Starting with a new TCI chassis, the frame and all brackets were powder coated. The body was painted by master restorer, Tom Black. Incredible deep shine. Please see photos and note the depth of the reflections, which are truly mirror-like. A custom black Haartz cloth top was fitted by multiple Portland Roadster Show winner, Ken Jones. The 4-piece louvered hood is by Rootlieb. '32 Ford headlights, '32 grille and grille shell along with '39 Ford tail lights compliment the body and provide the vintage, custom look.

Interior: Features pleated light gray leatherette upholstery in new condition over the recently built bench seat. The carpet is matching gray. The dash is a 1932 Ford unit with Ford Motorsport gauges inserted in a spun stainless Auburn oval style insert. Quick release steering wheel. Column mounted tachometer. Turn signals. A new custom-built hotrod heater will keep your toes warm on those fall cruise-in nights.

Engine and Drivetrain: The 1990 Ford Mustang 302 cubic inch / 300 horsepower motor was rebuilt with a roller cam and Holley 4-barrel carburetor and has just 3,800 miles since completion. The exhaust system features custom powder-coated headers with 36 inch long Florida stainless steel mufflers for a deep, throaty sound when wanted (see video.) The potent 302 is backed by a Ford C4 3-speed automatic transmission and an 8" Ford differential. Stainless steel A-arm front suspension and 4-bar link rear suspension. Corvette power disc brakes stop you smooth and straight.

Wheels and Tires: Orange powder-coated wire spoke wheels (14" front and 15" rear) ride on B.F. Goodrich T/A radial tires.

Overall, this is a wonderful custom that is titled and registered as a 1932 Ford. Truly the best of both worlds. Classic styling and modern reliability and power. What more could you want?
