The power plant consists of a professionally build 454 iron block 471cc V-8 engine with a high performance 870 CFM High Pro Carburetor, intake and Canfield aluminum heads with a TH400 3-speed transmission and a 411 posi-trac rear end. There is a complete binder of documentation for this Camaro and includes specifications for the major components including the engine, drive train, and chassis as well as accompanying receipts. Engine & Fuel System
Specifications for the 477 ci motor are as follows: Eagle 4340 crank shaft, 4340 3D 0.250 long H-Beam Rods, JE Dome Pistons, 10.5 to one compression, comp 0.646-0.653 lift 280 duration sold rocker cam with Doug Herbert Roller springs and lifters 0.225 – 0.188 valves, Manley push rods 0.100 long comp pro, magnum roller rockers, Canfield 310cc runner 119cc chamber aluminum heads, fully ported rectangular port, Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake with A.E.D 870 CFM High Pro Carburetor, MSD billet distributor, 6 AL MSD box 7000 limiter with blaster coil, 8.5 mm wires to NGK FR4 plugs. This Camaro incorporates a new custom stainless steel tank with an electric high performance fuel pump and regulator and is plumbed with ½” braded stainless steel Teflon fuel lines. The car runs on 93 octane and has been shown to produce over 600 hp and 636 ft lb of torque.
Drive Train, Exhaust and Cooling System
This Camaro incorporates a 9” positrac Ford rear end with 411 gears and a 31 spline axle. The Turbo 400 transmission includes a shift kit and a 3500 stall trans specialty torque converter. The car has 4-wheel disc brakes with a chrome high performance brake booster and includes modified tubed wheel wells, ladder bars, and coil-over adjustable shocks to support the rear suspension. The exhaust system consists of ceramic coated headers, flow master mufflers, and a 3” custom exhaust. This Camaro rests on 29X15R20LT Mickey Thompson tires that are mounted on 20” COY polished aluminum C-5 spoke wheels (18” front). The cooling system consists of high performance dual 1100 electric fans, a Griffin Radiator, and Victor water pump.
The interior has been fully restored with all new GM approved original components, including Hounds tooth bucket seats (new frames, sport cushions and hounds tooth covers), carpet, full gage console package (volt meter, oil pressure, temperature and fuel indicators), staple shifter, tilt wheel, 3-spoke sport steering wheel, speedometer, clock & tic-toc 6000 RPM redline tachometer, instrument carrier housing, headliner, sun visors, rear view mirror and windshield. The restoration also included a complete re-wire of the entire car that includes an original GM OEM full wiring harnesses from American AutoWire. The dash has also been complete resorted with all new controls and bezels, including all new controls and ignition switch. The car’s odometer shows 1048 miles since the interior restoration.
The color of the Camaro is Chrysler wild-berry & Chevrolet black that boasts Z-28 ghost striping and includes all new SS badging including front & rear spoilers. The body of the car is solid steel, is laser straight and incorporates a Harwood Outlaw 4” cowl induction fiberglass hood. The floors, rockers, bumpers, chrome, moldings, trim and doors are all solid and are in very good condition.
