1972 C20 Chevy Custom Deluxe, Custom Camper edition, 3/4 ton, 2WD, 350 V8, turbo 400 auto. Power steering, power front disk brakes, sliding rear window, VERY solid and original. Dual dealer installed saddle fuel tanks on either side of the bed. Aftermarket rear bumper installed by one of the prior owners.
Runs great, drives tight, rides good, stops straight, 4 brand new tires....
Original factory paint is faded in some spots and worn a little thin in others from over-aggressive buffing.... Original factory houndstooth interior - looks good but top of seat-back has some cracking from the sun. There are a couple scratches on the side of the factory paint - but no rust-through or bubbles anywhere.
Truck was sold to me as a 32,000 original mile "survivor" truck, originally from Colorado then brought to OK and then TX. Texas titles however just says "exempt" in the odometer field once you register something this old. Now showing 33,916 on the odometer and it drives like it just rolled off the lot....Pop the hood and there are the original chalk marks on the firewall from the assembly line... Come look at it and drive it for yourself to decide.....
I am the 4th owner and the previous owner put a couple thousand dollars into having the rocker panels replaced/repainted, replacing the grill & front bumper and all the trim on both sides. I added $600 in new radial tires on the aftermarket aluminum rims last month - and other than that the truck is all original.
This is not a trailer queen show truck - but if you drive it around people will come up to you to check it out and tell you about the last person they knew that had one.... In the couple months I've owned it I've put 2,000 miles on it running around town and moving stuff from an apartment to our new home.
Starts on the first bump of the key.... VERY reliable and easy to drive....
Asking $9,000 for this time capsule. Too many toys and this one must go.
E-mail me your contact information if you would like to see/drive it - or would like additional pictures.
