Description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. Here is a very sharp one-owner 2005 Mustang GT with only 44,000 miles. It has all the great stuff Ford put into the 2005 redesign, but also has a few tasteful modifications that you may not see (or feel) at first glance. It's enough to set this car apart from the crowd in a subtle way without ruining everything that's great about these cars. This beautiful black example looks great to begin with, but is further enhanced by several changes. To begin, it has FRP springs that lower the car one inch for both a sleeker look and better handling, but without any sacrifice in ride quality. Then there are the 18" Bullit style wheels which really look great on this car. Moving on, you'll see the lower front spoiler and rear duck tail spoiler (this really changes the profile of the car despite its small proportions). The third brake light has been relocated to the upper rear window which really cleans up the lines in back. And then there's my favorite feature, that being the fitted hood scoop from a 1969 Mach 1! It even includes the rear turn signals, just like the original. It looks right at home on this car and is much nicer than any modern day offering. The engine is the factory 300HP aluminum 4.6L coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. This is a great package to begin with, but here too a few small changes make for a Mustang that is a cut above. First there is a Granatelli tuner that allows several adjustments including specifying fuel octane level for maximum performance. It also allows speedometer calibration, which is necessary with the new 3.73 gears in back (factory gears are 3.55). The shifter was upgraded to a Steeda Tri-Ax short throw setup which is much tighter than the factory unit. In addition, the suspension has been upgraded with red polyurathane bushings, an Edelbrock adjustable Panhard bar, and BMR rear lower control arms. It all contributes to improved handling and ride quality. There are also Prothane Bullet motor mounts for reduced vibration and longer life. Finally there is a K&N air filter kit and Magnaflow axle-back exhaust with a more mellow tone at idle but a nice roar at throttle. The interior has cloth bucket seats that are very comfortable and a Shaker 500 audio system that sounds great. All the other expected features are present; power windows, locks, mirrors, and driver seat along with a/c, rear defrost, cruise control, trip computer, and switchable traction control. The passenger air bag automatically switches on or off based on the occupant. Also provided is a clean Autocheck report. This is not your run-of-the-mill Mustang GT. It is a great car to begin with, but when combined with the $5k in modifications it becomes something special. It's an excellent riding car with looks to match. And it's an affordable way to have something different than the rest.
