In recent years, this car has been stripped to bare metal and re-painted in Morello Cherry (which we believe to be the original colour), much re-chroming has been done, and the interior re-upholstered in grey leather with deep red piping. The car is handsome, well-proportioned, sound, driving nicely and healthy in all respects. Included in the history file is a bundle of invoices relating to work done over the last 15 years or so, as well as a run of MoT certificates, etc, and a copy of the original H.J.Mulliner construction records. Will be offered with a fresh MoT test. Chassis No. B256DA. Reg No. 723 XUV. £27,500. Snippets: Lifts, Ships & Textiles. The first 3 owners of B256DA were all businessmen, a director of Evans Lifts of Bradford; then registered to Vergocean Steamship, a subsidiary of the Vergottis Shipping Group founded in Greece in 1886 by Rokos Vergottis and internationally expanded between 1920 & 1960 by his son George Vergottis. The 3rd company that is linked with the MK VI is Lawrence Kostoris & Sons, a firm of Jewish textile exporters whose main concern was with the South African export market.
