Introduced in late 1935, the Sherborne was effectively an interim model which ran until August 1936 when the all new 'Cambridge' replaced it. With what can loosely be described as 'semi-fastback' coachwork, the Sherborne marked a departure from the previous perpendicular styling of the earlier models. This example is very well presented with smart black coachwork and excellent chrome, the green interior has been re-trimmed and the headlining replaced. It would appear the car was restored in the late 1990s. It was a prize winner at the Newby Hall Show in 2006. Mechanically, all would seem to be in very good order with the car feeling taut and surprisingly lively on the road, whilst the brakes pull up smoothly. An extensive file of documentation is provided, including the Pitman book of the Austin 10, Castrol lubrication chart, numerous bills and period advertisements. For more information please call. Viewing by appointment please. We are located just south of the Hindhead Tunnel near Liphook just off the A3.
