This car was the subject of a body-off renovation in the 1990s, which involved considerable re-framing, complete structural rebuild, full bare metal re-paint, re-upholstery, engine overhaul, new clutch, front suspension overhaul, etc, & more besides. Since then, only a few thousand miles have been covered, and the car is running and driving nicely, is smart and attractive, and is offered with a current MoT test. Finished in two shades of red; similar to each other, but not as bright as they come across in the pictures. The overall effect is very smart, and complimented by the nicely trimmed, beige leather, with red piping & red carpets. Chassis No. B130EY Reg No. KUV974 £29,500. Snippets: The Family of Doctors Delivered to David William Currie, an eminent surgeon, at his home of Adel Brow in Alwoodley on the outskirts of Leeds. Both of David’s brothers Donald & James were members of the medical profession with Donald serving in WWII with the Leeds Rifles. Their uncle Hugh Brown Currie (1872/1915) qualified as a surgeon in Glasgow & moved to Transvaal, South Africa, he later served in the Siege of Ladysmith earning the rank of Surgeon-Captain in the Imperial Light Infantry receiving the S.A. Medal & Clasps. David William Currie (1903/79) qualified as a Bachelor of Surgery in 1927 aged just 24 and within 3 years was a MRCOG specialising in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
