A very original matching numbers 4 1/4 litre Derby Bentley with great style and patina. Built in 1938 by the coachbuilders James Young and displayed on the Jack Barclay stand at the Earls Court Motor Show. The car was then delivered to a titled owner. It is believed the body to be unique on a Derby Bentley. Originally painted in Black and Bronze but now presented in Black and Claret with a recent new roll top roof allowing wonderful open top motoring with the shelter of the wind up side windows and 'no-draught' quarterlights. There is ample room in the rear for at least two people in comfort and it is believed the interior is original. The current owner has enjoyed the car since 2000 and has kept records of maintainance and expence including a new Mohair rolltop in 2008 and new tyres in 2009. This car is featured in many books and has its original sliding 'de-ville' hardtop extension in the owners posession. There is a history file with the car and current MoT certificates, V5 etc. Offers in the region of £150,000 are invited for this possibly unique bodied Bentley and viewing is by appointment only on the Surrey / Sussex border.
