The paintwork is presented to a good standard all round with just a few expected light stone chips to the front bumper.
The black window surrounds all remain in fine condition as well as both front and rear light clusters, which are all free from cracks or moisture. The famous HF World Rally Champion badge adorns the front grille and rear hatch, a subtle reminder of this cars wonderful heritage.
The Evo 1 is equipped with high-back Recaro bucket seats that are trimmed with striking Champagne leather, an elegant contrast to the green paintwork. The voluptuous shape of the bucket seats ensure a snug fit for the passengers and still feel soft and supportive. On close inspection there is a small amount of wear to the driver's bolster, however the rest of the seats remain in excellent unworn condition. The Champagne leather extends to the door cards as is free from any scuffs or damage.
None of the plastic trim is damaged and the carpet is protected in the foot-wells by a set of Lancia HF over-mats.
This example is fitted with the 2.0 litre 16 valve Lancia engine. Being an Integrale the engine produces 210 bhp, over the standard 200 bhp. The response of the Garrett T3 turbo is sure to put a smile on your face, thanks to the reduced inertia of the turbine the turbo kicks in quickly, propelling the car down the road with impressive performance. A highly efficient intercooler also provides the driver with more power and greater reliability.
Despite the exhilarating performance the engine retains an impressive level of refinement, thanks to two counter-rotating balancer shafts, which help to reduce vibration to give superb smoothness. The most recent inspection was an oil service by Auto Integrale Ltd, where the cambelt and tensioner were also replaced.
The 5 speed manual gearbox is perfectly matched to the engines power, pulling through the gears with ease.
WHEELS, TYRES BRAKES
The boxed arches are filled with 17' Compomotive alloy wheels which give the car a very purposeful stance and all remain in good condition with no kerb scuffs to be found. The wheels are shod in a matching set of Yokohama tyres which all have a good amount of tread remaining.
Having recently had a fluid change the braking system is operating exactly as it should, feeling strong and providing good braking performance.
The Lancia was first registered in Italy in September 1992 by the supplying Lancia dealer Fassina. The original service booklet shows that the car was serviced at the correct intervals and in 1998 was imported to the UK.
