Description

Didn't do the restoration so can't guarantee the accuracy or all that is claimed BUT a visual comfirmation would indiate as described....a BEAUTIFUL complete restoration. And one of the two or three best MGBs we have ever had.......read on.............. Done in 2008, started with a low mileage rust free body shell, stripped to the bare metal, painted in BRG, inside and out. Rebuilt engine, Weber carb, new 5 speed transmission, new wiring harness, all new hydraulics (brakes, master cylinders, etc.), new metal and flex brake lines, new radiator and heater core, (as the last owner said) 'if it was available as NOS, it was replaced. The rest? From Moss and other suppliers. It doesn't take an expert to look at this car from every angle, inside and out and see one expensively and thoroughly restored car. All new chrome and trim, all new interior with rebuilt seat frames and leather seats, new stainless steel exhaust, new tan top, new fuel tank, oil cooler, wood steering wheel, modern stereo (under the seat with controls on the dash...very 'trick.'). Out of curiosity, pulled all four wheels and found perfect rust free wheel wells, frotn end looked recently done, new flex lines, on and on. Wire wheels, trunk done in tan with spare wheel cover, the lst continues. It runs and drives as perfectly as I could imagine, smooth, quiet, refined, and ready for show or daily use. OF ALL of the MGBs we have had for sale (and we typiclaly sell 4 or 5 a month), I can't imagine more than one or two that might have equalled this car. If you want an MGB ready for show or general use, understand the vast improvement a modern 5 speed transmission adds to the car (stonger, closer ratios, an overdrive 5th for quieter crusing), appreciate the beautfiul color conbination, enjoy the esthetics of wire wheels.......no other MGB can compare.
