Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this beautiful numbers-matching 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Roadster. If you are looking for a gorgeous driver-level Corvette, this is an outstanding example that will be at home at local car events and for regular pleasure driving.
This is the famous “Coke-bottle” body-style Stingray that was first introduced in 1968. It was inspired by the bold “Mako-Shark II” concept car designed by Corvette stylist Larry Shinoda. This is an early example of the most desirable “chrome bumper” C-3 (3rd-generation) cars. Also, they are the last of the high-horsepower C-3’s that were not restricted by emissions equipment.
This Corvette is equipped with its original 350-horsepower, 350-cubic-inch V8 (L46 engine), however the 4speed manual transmission has been replaced with a Keistler 5speed, which has the added benefits of improved gas mileage, and comfortable cruising at modern highway speeds.
The engine runs strong and smooth, and the car starts, drives, and shifts very nicely. The BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires are fitted to Rally wheels with stainless-steel trim rings.
The factory Black interior is in good condition, with no rips or tears in any of the upholstery or trim. All of the instruments work, and all of the dash and instrument lighting works well. The interior appears to be original, but may have been refreshed over the years. The white vinyl convertible top is in excellent condition, the plastic back window is crystal clear with no hazing or visible scratches.
The chassis, suspension, shocks, and exhaust are all in good condition with no repairs needed.
Paint is excellent - however there are some small areas of checking in the clearcoat.
The car is on a clean Arizona title with the mileage (52847) marked as “Box A” (actual) on the title – very low miles for its 43-year history, driven on average just under 1,200-miles/year!
The car is now road-ready and waiting to be enjoyed and driven. The 1969 C-3 “Chrome Bumper” Corvette Convertible is among the most rapidly appreciating vintage Corvettes, and all nice C-3s like this one are in demand by collectors.
Don’t miss your chance to own a great car!
