Description

Registration Number: TKF 94G Chassis Number: 22337GX102332 This rare European market example was originally constructed at the General Motors Plant in Antwerp. A road car for most of its life, it was race prepared in the late 1990s by respected Pre-War Aston Martin restorers Ecurie Bertelli to the order of an existing client. The brief included an engine rebuild, removal of excess interior items, localised lightening, upgraded braking and a complete re-spray. It is presented with a 6 point rollcage, plexiglass windows, bucket seats, 4 point seatbelts and plumbed in fire system. The bodywork has been modified to accept a lightweight one piece fibreglass front end (which greatly enhances engine bay access) and has been fitted with a bespoke aircraft specification wiring loom. The 400ci motor has run for only 8 hours since a rebuild by I.C.E Racing at Silverstone, and the maximum power of some 426hp at 5,900 rpm and 428ft/ lbs of torque at only 4,900 rpm are substantiated by a dyno sheet accompanying the car. A correct specification Richmond T10 4 Speed gearbox is fitted, whilst braking is provided by uprated Willwood Superlite 4 Pot Front Calipers together with cockpit adjustable brake bias lever. This Firebird represents a rare, attractive and affordable entry into the world of V8 Muscle Cars, and is ready for road, rally or race use immediately. The popularity of the HVRA V8 and HSCC 70s Roadsports Series in the UK continues unabated, whilst it is also eminently eligible for the iety of Oldtimer and Youngtimer GT and Touring Car races in Germany, France and Benelux.
