Chassis number DB5/1725/R is an ex-works car used for the road test in the February 1965 edition of Motor. However, it is the successful completion of two Peking to Paris Rallies that makes this car so special. In 1995, it was completely rebuilt and prepared for the 1997 Peking to Paris Rally. In 2010, we prepared the car for its second Peking to Paris Rally. It won a gold medal and was also awarded the AMOC Victor Gauntlett award. This is the most successful Aston Martin rally car ever. Its purchase will include the RSW 7 registration number and a rally spares package. Rally preparation includes:- Engine modified to perform on 70 octane fuel Mechanical upgrades including suspension, brakes, hubs, wheels and tyres Two spare wheels contained in boot Increased ground clearance and rough terrain protection Full roll cage, 4-point safety harnesses and race seats Long-distance twin tank fuel system Roof rack and box Increased security and internal safe Full spares package
