1941 Chevrolet Coupe
You have just run across not only a very cool old street rod but a truly excellent driver. Often times in the world of street rods the focus leans towards looks and customizations. Well this is a classic that has the looks but also was set up to be a reliable and comfortable driver. The all steel 41 Chevy Coupe body is painted a nice Salmon base coat with clear coat and has a clean finish. The body has been shaved of all door handles and the chrome has been kept to a minimum. Hagen frenched headlights are found up front with 39 Ford lights in rear. All of the glass in the car is brand new as is all of the rubber. Custom polished 5 spoke wheels are found on all four corners and look great.
Under the hood is a freshly built 350 V8 motor that starts up into a nice smooth idle. It is fitted with an Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 625 cfm carburetor, steel roller rockers, custom valve covers and a ton of chrome. Some components like the power disc brake booster have been painted to match the body giving the engine compartment a clean look. The 700R4 overdrive transmission is freshly built and shifts smoothly with zero issues. Other components finishing out the drivetrain/suspension include the Mustang II power rack and pinion front suspension, traction bars, a new driveline, new Moser engineering axles, an aluminum radiator shroud with a 5 core radiator and flowmaster mufflers. All of that works together to create a smooth running and driving car that could easily handle any nation wide rod run you would like to take it one.
The interior is done in Black cloth and the dash is painted to match the car. The high back bucket seats are very comfortable and custom mounted truck style fold out seats are found in the rear. A custom center console is mounted between the seats and provides extra storage. Painless wiring is found throughout and the dash is fitted with white faced VDO gauges and a custom AM/FM/CD player that has been frenched into place.
