1964 Dodge Polara Convertible in correct Signet Royal Red with a black canvas top, dark red velour interior, and polished Centerline wheels. Extremely nice car from Colorado with only 58,638 miles. The original 383 has been replaced with a 1968 440 with the factory steel crank, 10.5:1 Keith Black pistons, Mopar electronic ignition, solid-lifter Lunati cam, cross-ram aluminum intake manifold, dual Edelbrock 650cfm 4-barrel carbs, Hedman headers, and dual 3" exhaust with dumps before the mufflers. Starts immediately and settles into a quiet lopey idle with the gently clicking of the solid lifters. PULLS HARD & pins you back in the seat when you punch it; the dual quads howl beautifully, and the transmission shifts perfectly. Runs nicely on premium pump, there are no mechanical issues (no smoke, no leaks, no noises), and feels like a really strong 440 6-pack. The pushbutton Torqueflite transmission operates properly and the 8 3/4 Suregrip rearend with 3.91 gears provides great acceleration while still providing relaxed highway cruising. Power steering and huge disc brakes upgraded with a dual chamber master cylinder make driving easy. Very nice driving car.

The interior has been professionally reupholstered with deep red velour, trimmed in black vinyl. The front seat has the fold down center armrest and new foams were installed when upholstered (very comfortable & much cooler during top-down driving). Excellent dash with the factory gauges for oil pressure, water temp, amps, & fuel. All work properly including the speedometer, windshield wipers, head & tail lights, brake lights, & turn signals. No cracks in the dash, no sunfade on the instruments, and a column-mounted Autometer tach is installed. A premium quality Kenwood AM/FM/CD plays beautifully. Excellent carpets and seat belts are installed front & rear. Very nice interior.

Excellent all-steel body with no dents, no dings, no waves, and I cannot find any body filler. The underside still has the factory sound deadening and there are no patches in the original pans. Excellent TT-code Signet Royal Red paint done in acrylic urethane base/clear and then sanded & buffed to a smooth glossy shine. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Power convertible top in excellent condition, operates quickly when you press the button. The parade boot is included in the trunk. Excellent chrome bumpers front & rear, excellent front grill and rear tail panel, and exceptionally nice brightwork; with no dings, no scratches, and all professionally polished. No pitting in the tail light bezels or door handles. Polished Centerline wheels fitted with P225-70-15 front & P275-60-15 Mastercraft radials. The trunk has been carpeted and contains the spare tire and jack. Just professionally polished, hand waxed, and turnkey ready for cruises and shows. Very powerful car; runs & drives perfectly, and a very rare early Mopar-muscle Polara convertible.
