For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1967 Chevrolet Impala SS

In the 60's body styles of these classics made a drastic change. The streamline tough racing look was in and every manufacturer had their own line of muscle cars. Of course not every family wanted a Chevelle though so a more luxurious full sized car was much more likely to fit their need. Well the Impala would have had to have been their car of choice. It still had the body lines and stance of a muscle car but these full sized vehicles provided additional interior room and were made with more comfort in mind. Of coarse a 396 was still under the hood so the power was there but this car was destined to become the best selling auto around. From the initial release in the 50's the Impala was consistently the most expensive passenger model available through Chevrolet and had a look to back that up.

This 67 Impala SS underwent a complete frame off rotisserie restoration by Integrity Restorations out of Fort Worth, TX. Since being finished it has only been driven a minimal amount of miles to break in the drive train and work out any kinks. Then it was stored away indoors where it was meticulously cared for and maintained. It is painted with a very nice PPG Hot Red that really pops. This is combined with a fresh White convertible top that raises and lowers properly. All of the chrome work and stainless trim is in good condition with no signs of damage. The glass has a very slight and is damage free as well. 15 inch rally wheels have been added with polished out beauty rings and knock off style spinner center caps. These are then wrapped with white wall tires that are new and accent the top perfectly.

Under the hood is a period correct 396 V8 375 horsepower motor. This means that it is not necessary the motor originally released in THIS car but it was in a 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS. It has been polished up with chrome valve covers and a blacked out air cleaner that nicely tops of the Red painted motor well. This is all backed by a new 700R4 Overdive automatic transmission and the original rear end. All of the bushings, body mounts, and rubber has been gone through an replaced to insure a nice ride. It is amazing how such small parts can make a difference in the overall tightness of a car. When started up this thing has a great sound which is provided by the dual exhaust into Flowmaster mufflers.

The interior of this classic was completely redone with the restoration. Red and white vinyl was used in combination on the seats and door panels to give it a little different look from stock. All of the upholstery is good and the seats very comfortable. The dash has an extremely clean look with all of the original style knobs, switches, gauges being replaced. Other custom features on the inside include the tilt steering column, billet steering wheel, and custom center console. It may appear original at first glance but looking closely you will see the original SS center console was slightly customized to make room for the B&M quick silver shifter that looks perfect in place. These ratchet shifters are fun to drive with especially if you like the feel of shifting without the hassle of a clutch.

Look around and you will see as time goes on these big block super sport Impalas are only going up in price.
