Description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. This gorgeous 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air is a high quality example of one of the most desirable cars from the era. Between its frame-off restoration and dual quad 283ci 270hp drivetrain, there is a lot to get excited about here. This car was completely redone five years ago and has accumulated 1,791 miles since. The finished product looks fantastic top to bottom, inside and out. The frame and floor pans are very well done. The body is wonderfully straight and all body gaps are nice and even. The high quality paint matches the original 819D India Ivory/Matador Red color scheme. All chrome and stainless pieces are bright and shiny. The E-Z-Eye tinted glass is in perfect condition all around. The rubber seals were replaced throughout. Throw in the fender skirts, spinners, BF Goodrich whitewalls, and Continental kit and you have quite a site. A big highlight of this car is its drivetrain. It starts with the EB-code 283ci 270hp engine (3731548 casting). The dual Carter 4-barrel carburetors are there under the batwing air cleaner, and the solid lifter sound is always a joy. Note the deep groove pulleys as well. The motor is backed by the 3-speed manual transmission (3799193 casting) and 8.2" rear end with drain plug (3725899 casting). Everything is in excellent operating condition, including the brakes and steering. The interior of the car looks magnificent. Like the exterior, it was completely redone with its original color scheme of 676 black/red. Highlights include the Kleenex box under the dash and Wonderbar radio upgraded to AM/FM operation with rear seat speaker and front/rear/both switch. Everything works on this car; the heater, dual horns, turn signal / return, electric wipers, radio, dash lights, power antenna, hood lights, etc. This Bel Air's classic looks, high quality, and desirable features make it a real gem. Don't settle for less.
