350 CID V-8 ... Automatic ... Power steering ... Power brakes ... Power windows ... Dual exhaust ... Racing ready ...
If you’re looking for a car that can compete with performance Chevys and Fords, but has a look all its own, you will love this stunning 1949 Studebaker Champion Business Coupe.
Finished in Light Stellar Blue, this eye-catcher will get the looks on the street and strip alike. Powered by a Chevy 350 CID V-8 and automatic transmission, this car is set up for racing, with features such as racing harnesses, trunk-mounted battery, and rear shut-off. Other performance enhancements include the following:
• MSD electronic ignition
• Edelbrock intake
• Holley 4 barrel carburetor
• Front disc brakes
• Power steering
• Dual exhaust
• Electric fan
• Upgraded rear-end
Dual dummy spotlights and baby moon hubcaps complete the look. Best of all, this car runs as well as it looks.
The interior tells a similar story, with a handsome tan cord interior that coordinates nicely with its exterior. The interior also benefits from a newer headliner and carpeting. You will also appreciate its Lokar shifter and full complement of newer Stewart Warner gauges and an Autometer tachometer. Power windows and remote operated trunk release and power lift and pull down will also add to your enjoyment.
Completed in 2008, this car was stripped down to bare metal prior to being repainted in PPG basecoat/clearcoat. New weatherstipping was also fitted at this time. The car has been driven very minimally since its completion, and only on sunny days. It has always been properly stored indoors and has never been driven in winter.
One item of note is that the finish and chrome have minor imperfections that do not detract from the overall appearance of the car. In addition, the radio is not currently functioning. It should also be noted that this car was previously disability equipped. This equipment has since been removed, but will be included with sale if desired. Selected paperwork related to the car will also be provided to the next owner.
If a powerful and unique custom is what you desire, this 1949 Studebaker Champion is for you!
