Very sharp, recent cosmetic restoration that included new paint and top! Very correct presentation and a superb driver! Rare, all steel, and highly desirable! Accessories include rumble seat, rear spare, mirror clock, and more! Formerly part of the esteemed Bud Mick Collection! Regarded by many Ford enthusiasts as one of the finest designs to own, the 1934 model year is quite the prize for any collector! Minor styling alterations marked the 1934 model body lines with racked front grill with wide surround, vertical hood slats with two release levers instead of one, and slightly smaller headlights & cowl lamps made for an incredibly handsome car that mimicked much more expensive vehicles of the same era. Engine durability was improved and the 112 wheelbase frame was redesigned for added strength. The speedy Ford V-8 which increased output to 85 horsepower was a favorite of many buyers, including the notorious John Dillinger and Bonnie & Clyde! We are very pleased to offer this beautiful 1934 Ford Model 40B Deluxe Cabriolet! Finished in a new base coat/ clear coat application of Ford Maroon with Red pinstripe and wheels, and Dark Brown Leatherette interior and Tan Lebaron Bonney canvass convertible top! Features include 221ci L-Head V8, 3-speed floor-shifted manual transmission, 17 wheel spoke wheels with trim rings, Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires, rear mounted spare with steel wheel cover, interior rearview mirror with FORD clock, cigarette lighter & ashtray, greyhound hood mascot, rear rumble seat, and Deluxe appointments that include dual chrome horns, cowl lamps, painted wood-grain dash & garnish moldings, and dual rear lamps. Our example was last fully restored many years ago prior to entering the Bud Mick collection located in the Detroit, MI area. It traded hands just one time after his passing in early 2007 and appeared to be used only sparingly by both owners. It was cosmetically restored in June of 2013 upon its arrival to the St. Louis Car Museum to include a professional exterior repaint, all new hand-masked pin striping, and new custom made convertible top & boot cover. The engine was freshened with new spark plugs, carburetor rebuilt, fuel tank drained, interior speedometer rebuilt with new interior wiring harness, and all new fresh fluids. It continues to start with ease and run down the road wonderfully! They are charming cars to see on out on the street, and command attention at every stoplight! This cars presentation has been enhanced superbly with stunningly smooth paint! Please feel free to call with additional questions, or schedule an opportunity to view this vehicle in person! We look forward to working with you!
