Description

Authentic first-generation Nickey Super Camaros are very difficult to find and are amongst the most valuable of collectible Camaros opening the door to high-quality replicas like this 1967 RS/SS. Veteran Car Craft readers will recognize this Camaro’s inspiration in the pages of the February 1967 issue in which writer Dick Scritchfield gave readers an account of the first Nickey Super Camaro built by Dick Harrell and Yenko parts manager Ken White whose collaboration resulted in an 11.4 ET at 124 MPH. According to documentation this is a 4-owner genuine RS/SS that now incorporates a 1967-dated 427 code 351 block featuring a Tri Power setup and matched to a date-coded Muncie M21 4-speed and 12-bolt Positraction rear end. Correctly finished in Bolero Red with a Black standard bucket seat interior it comes complete with the Nickey door splashes used in that famed first magazine car. - Features a 1967 dated 427 351 block with a Muncie 4-speed and 12 bolt posi rear end - Trim tag and other details would suggest that this is a true Rally Sport Super Sport 4-speed with the original color of Bolero Red and Black standard interior - Block 3904351 D187 (4-18-67) Muncie M-21 3885010 P7C23 - Authentic Nickey Super Camaros are very difficult to find and are amongst the valuable collectable Camaros to be had - From the information we have this is a five owner Camaro including us - The 2nd owner was told that when he got the car it was as you see it today and may have been an original 427 conversion. Nickey Chevrolet of Chicago was known as the Original Super Car Headquarters and they were the first to offer the new 427 big-block Corvette engine in the Camaro. Selling more Chevrolets than almost any dealer in in America the dealer's high-performance department worked in conjunction with Bill Thomas as soon as the 427 was available in 1966. The Camaro was built alongside packages for the Chevelle and Nova which Nickey was well known for. Working with Nickey Bi
