1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2 Door sedan Resto-mod that had a complete frame off restoration. I have owned this car since 1970 and the latest restoration project took a little over 5 years to complete. According to the state of Missouri, I am the original owner of the car and I have documentation. The 57 is a winner right out of the box winning Best of Show at my first event. Many 1st place trophies have been won including Best Interior, Best Paint and several people's choice awards. In 2011 the car scored a 978 at the Classic Chevy International show. Every part on the car has been painted or plated or a combination of both. The frame is painted same color as the car sporting 4 wheel power disc brakes by CPP, front and rear sway bars by CPP, 1956 Chevrolet station wagon springs in the rear and El Camino springs in front along with a CPP swaybar. The spindles were dropped with a CPP front axle 2.5 ". The engine is a big block 427 CI bored .30 over sporting a stout cam with roller rockers. It is mounted using the original Hurst conversion kit which is a front mount Steet and Performance shorty headers are installed on the engine. The fuel comes from a Holly fuel pump mounted in the rear pumping fuel to the Holly 770 Avenger Carb sitting on top of an Edelbrock mnanifold. Ignition comes from a Mallory distributor and coil. The Interstate battery is located in the trunk. A Griffin radiator keeps the big block cool on those hot days. The engine is coupled to a Chevrolet 4-speed transmission which was rebuilt.
The stock steering box along with the 3rd member have all been rebuilt as well. Crager wire wheels dress up the car separating it from the rest. A new wiring 18 circuit harness was installed along with Auto-Meter NV series gauges. The custom interior consists of Chrysler 300 bucket seats as well as the rear seat with the front seats having 8 way power adjustments. Custom console and carpeting and upholstered dash. The trunk has also been done in the same treatment as the interior. The car does not have heat or air at this point. I have every receipt for the parts installed on the car as well as photo documentation of the rebuild. The car has been featured in the Danchuk newsletter of January of 2011, Super Chevy magazine and a feature ride on Cool Rides Online website. Over 1800 hours put into the restoration
