Originally assembled on April 25, 1978, this 1978 Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car is in nice condition. This cars paint looks to be slightly older, and is in very good condition with a brilliant shine. Glass t-tops are in good to very good condition with no cracks. With the exception of these t-tops, every piece of exterior glass on this car shows a correct date code. Slotted aluminum wheels are in good condition, with very good condition center caps showing no fading. Recent radial raised white letter tires show an average of 10/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1978 Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car shows older replacement leather seat covers in good to very good condition. Door panels are in good to very good condition as well with good armrests, and the dash is in good condition with no cracks or obvious warping. GM seatbelts are present and in good condition, and BRAND NEW correct style carpet has been installed, and is in very good to excellent condition. A Pioneer DEH-1900MP CD stereo has replaced the factory stereo. The numbers matching engine in this 1978 Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car shows original casting date April 7, 1978, and final assembly date April 13, 1978. Correct air cleaner, intake manifold, radiator hoses, and ignition shielding are in place, and the engine compartment has been nicely detailed. Frame is solid and rust-free, and the alternator appears to have been replaced recently. Included with this car will be an owners manual, and binders of copies of the GM/Helms 1978 Chevrolet Passenger Car and Truck Unit Repair Manual, and 1978 Chevrolet Passenger Car and Truck Repair Manual. This car has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition.
