Showing only 13,406 miles on its six year old odometer, this Satin Silver pony has been meticulously maintained and is factory fresh in virtually every way. The cars original two-stage is clean, shines like new and provides a bit more sophistication than a typical bright paint and black stripe package. Under that conservative canvas, original sheetmetal fits precisely and displays great build quality. A close look down the cars fuselage reveals not so much as a dent or ding anywhere. Theres paint protecting films and high quality Cervini Eleanor Edition add-ons that blend invisibly with Fords solid profile. Its hard to argue with the killer good looks of Fords fifth generation Mustang. And when a few Shelby-inspired styling elements are tossed in the mix, the cars visual impact is taken to a whole new level! At the front of this super clean coupe, a billet grille hangs an offset Cobra emblem between smoked headlamps, smoked turn signals and an aggressive valence thats complete with silver-trimmed fog lights and PIAA driving lights. At the sides of the car, a clean profile hangs traditional Cobra fender emblems and enhanced side scoops between a low profile antenna, a billet fuel door and bulbous rocker sills that hide functional side-exit exhaust. At the top of the car, an aggressive hood, an attractive ducktail spoiler and Pepper Gray roof stripes trace original greenhouse glass. And at the back of the car, Shelby-inspired fender extensions frame sequenced factory tail lights, an ornate faux fuel filler and a sleek, aftermarket valence.
Take a look under the hood of this storied American legend and youll find a world class 4.6 liter mod motor V8 that delivers a dyno-proven 482 horsepower and a stout 485 lb./ft. of torque! Combining a Saleen VI supercharger with a forged Ford Racing block and a Diablo Sport Predator tune, this rev-happy monster makes great muscle car sounds while providing class-leading efficiency and docile street manners. Twist the key and the smooth mill rumbles to life, sending brash baritone notes down a 2.5-inch performance exhaust system that bellows from four stainless tips. Goose the throttle and a twin 65mm GT500 throttle body zings the engine towards redline thanks to a new, more aggressive camshaft. Drop the transmission into gear and the car buckles down into an eager lean with the tension and authority of a coiled snake. Deliver one jab at the go-pedal, and youll find out why dictionaries are starting to list the name Steve Saleen under the word performance. Aesthetically, the engine bay looks very clean, not equipped with any of the flash youd expect from a street-wise pony car and appearing, dare I say, much like a sleeper. But to anyone who knows anything about cars in general, parts like a hot Haney Motorsports strut brace, an attractive Steeda radiator cowl, heavy duty Moroso fluid tanks and a high flow Meziere water pump are dead giveaways that this isnt just some run-of-the-mill secretary special!
Straight from Dearborn, Fords premium D2C platform is a solid foundation that makes the Mustang a true force to be reckoned with. And when you add a bunch of Lakewood suspension components, you get one very capable curve carver! Up front, a Macpherson strut independent suspension is aided by speed-assisted power steering. Out back, a 3-link solid axle rear end spins sporty 3.55 gears. That drivetrain is countered by four wheel power disc brakes, a standard anti-lock system and factory traction control that are all very welcome additions if you plan to use this car anywhere near its potential. Spent gases are whisked away by a high performance SLP exhaust system thats complete with long-tube headers, an X-pipe crossover and big stainless tips. Sending the engines power to the ground is a slick shifting 5-speed transmission which is as much fun darting through traffic as it is racing up entrance ramps. And all this proven hardware rides on an awesome set of polished Raceline GT wheels which spin super sticky 255/35ZR20 front and 285/30ZR20 rear Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR radials around Cobra-style spinners.
Take a look inside this Ford and youll find a comfortable and stylish cockpit thats ready for long road trips and plenty of summertime fun. At the center of the car, highly bolstered seats feature thick padding thats wrapped in impressive pleats. In front of those seats, a familiar Mustang dash seals highly detailed gauges behind chrome trim rings and a strategically placed Auto Meter boost gauge. Below that gauge, a Clarion touch-screen CD/DVD player combines Sirius satellite radio and modern MP3 capability with two 10 inch Kicker subwoofers to become a one-stop shop for all your audio needs. Below that sound system, a wide console props a classic Hurst shifter in front of ample storage space. Beneath that storage space, like-new carpet is highlighted by Saleen foot pedals, framed by and MUSTANG branded sill plates and protected by color-keyed floor mats. At the sides of those floor mats, sculpted door panels hang full-length armrests between small metal handles and big kick speakers. And naturally, all the luxuries youd expect in a high dollar muscle car are present and accounted for including: cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, a power drivers seat, and remote keyless entry thats complete with built in theft deterrent software. Its never easy to describe a stable of essentially new cars because you feel like youre boring readers to death by saying the same string of words over and over again. But repetition of words makes them no less true and, as with all our essentially new Mustangs, everything in this super cool Ford looks good, works well and promotes an overall sense of reliability.
