This 1956 Thunderbird has been owned by the same family since 1957. It has always been a rarely driven garage kept fun car for the family. Recently the car was removed from storage, the vehicle was serviced, brakes adjusted and serviced, the a/c charged and all operating systems were checked and corrected as needed. This is NOT A RESTORED CAR, it is an exceptional SURVIVOR that has only had typical service and maintenance as needed. It has the original Town and Country Radio, Dash Tach, and Dash Clock that all WORK!! Under dash a/c from the era , that also WORKS. IT has never had any collision or rust repairs, one repaint years ago. The body on this car is LASER STRAIGHT all around, no disappointments on that. Of course as with any 57 year old car, It is not perfect but you would be hard pressed to find a better original unrestored Thunderbird of this era. The chrome and stainless on the car is excellent, the overall condition of the engine compartment is very clean and original. The engine compartment is original and shows the patina of the components. The cars drives as good as it looks, once we serviced it and washed and waxed the exterior we test drove it around town for a couple of days to make sure it was road ready, AND IT IS!! And yes it does have BOTH TOPS and a ceiling garage lift for the Removable Hard Top comes with it! The soft top has yellowed some and is not new but very servicable, the soft top frame and hardware is as nice as you would expect with this car. There are no electrical concerns associated with this vehicle.. We have found no door dings on this vehicle. There are no problems with the engine. The condition of exterior is extra clean. The owner kept this vehicle in the garage. Vehicle has never been smoked in. The interior is in fantastic condition. The mileage represented on this vehicle is accurate. This vehicle has a smooth shifting transmission.
