Description
 
-Body and chassis by Outlaw Performance, a premium street rod builder. Outlaw Performance reinforces their glass body with steel tubing for strength, they use poplar wood ( Poplar does not shrink )for upholstery tack strips, and is hand lay fiberglass with premium resin for consistent thickness and strength. The suspension is by Heidt’s and is polished stainless with Wildwood disc, polished calipers on front. The rear is 9” Ford with 3:55 limited slip, supported by coil over shocks and stainless triangulated four link bars. Wheels are ET with Hoosier Pro Street speed rated tires. Rear tires are 15” x 18” x 31” ( thus the tag “Big Tars”- Tars being red neck for tires). Heidt’s stainless front sway bar included with car. -The engine is Ford SVT 351 Windsor, rated at 385 horsepower; forged pistons and rods, special roller cam and for GT-40 heads, has Edelbrock air gap intake with special carburetor. The transmission is Tremac five speed and has a McLeod bell housing and clutch. Custom valve covers with Ford logo included with car. -Gauges are VDO classic series. Billet Specialties Steering wheel. Custom door sills with Ford logo emblem. I Did-it tilt column. - Vintage air complete with pulley system. -Remote power windows and locks -Paint is Viper red base coat clear coat. Upholstery is leather -Sony radio with flip out touch screen and rear view camera -Ron Francis wiring, 150 Amp alternator, new Optima battery installed in January 2013. -Car was built in Virginia by Street Rods Are Us and completed in 2006; I purchased in 2007. -Improvements made include LED taillights, built in LED signal lights in headlights, safety latches on suicide doors. The car is quick, rides good, is fun to drive, and draws a crowd. Truly a great value for a Ford street rod.
