The story of this dark green with black fenders Ford Tudor begins in 1935 when it was purchased new in the mid-west area of the USA. Shortly after bringing home his new Flathead Ford, the owner sadly passed away in a farming accident after only driving the car 2,500 miles. Not knowing what to do with the car, the farmers widow parked the Ford for a remarkable 42 years until she passed away in 1977. It’s at this point where the story of this special car takes another interesting twist; it was sold at the subsequent estate sale where it was said to have been purchased by famous rock ‘n roll artist Mr. Jerry Lee Lewis. It was again sold in 1981 to its third owner before ultimately ending up with its fourth owner, the highly regarded car collector Art Astor who clearly saw how special this car was and retained it until just few years ago. To this day the car still having only travelled 2,507 miles since 1935, remains incredibly original with only the maintenance items having been replaced including belts and hoses; a true time capsule car. It starts, runs and drives as a new 1935 would with the well maintained flathead V8 still eager for some use. This very special Tudor is a true collector piece and a car to be treasured for exactly what it is, a time capsule to the mid 1930’s.
