For Sale: 1962 Ford Cortina in San Diego, California
This could be the most unmolested, stock MkI Cortina Consul on the planet! Much original with selective Restoration by Lotus Cortina specialist John McCoy of Omni Tech Engineering.
Recent mechanical freshening by Motoring Investments for use as the owner's occasional daily driver and tour car. Only being sold to make room for other bucket list cars.
This is a never rusted or crashed example of an early Mk1. Unlike the Lotus version or even the GT examples most all of these were used up by very hard use then left to slowly rot away behind barns or on back alleys behind sheds.
It is doubtful that there is a more authentic, dialed-in, stock and correct example on this planet and its condition could not be duplicated for even twice the price. Discussion with the previous owner, the way it was driven, stored at times and the light wear on the absolutely factory original seat upholstery and floor mats seems to confirm 32,981 actual and genuine miles!
