Breaker 1-9, Breaker 1-9, This is the Bandit calln do ya hear me son. Some of the greatest and memorable lines in a movie came from the iconic classic Smokey and The Bandit. We all know them and love them and can never get enough of them. Just Toys Classic Cars is VERY proud to present this 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Bandit clone. This is an original Pontiac Trans Am as will be explained in the decoding of the VIN# as well as the Trim Tag, but it is a Bandit Clone. What you have here is a very popular and very fast 1979 Trans Am. The car was just repainted and had the brand new Bandit sticker kit put on it. The owner was very careful to get the correct kit for the 79 Bandit Edition. As you will see in the photos, the head on the Flaming Bird faces the correct way as it should. This is an original 6.6 Trans Am, and it has the original motor, transmission, as well as the rear end. As you will see in the pic of the odometer, this car has just over 83,XXX original miles. It fires right up on the first try and doesnt smoke one bit or leak anything from anywhere. You will see under the hood just how clean this car is and everything is painted the correct colors. The only change under the hood are a set of chrome valve covers which look great when you open the hood. The transmission shifts very solid and there are no clunks when you shift it in and out of gear. The A/C in this car does not currently work. However, the owner has everything to hook it up and make it work. He has a new compressor, lines, and everything you need to get that ice cold A/C cranking again. Really though, who needs A/C when you have 2/90 air conditioning (2 windows down doing 90 MPH for everyone that didnt get that.) This car is black on black cloth and came with power windows as well. This is the original interior to the car. What you are going to see is a great patina to everything with no major rips or tears anywhere. The owner also replaced the old, worn out dash pad with a new one. Everything works on the inside including the clock inside the Tach. The only thing about the clock is that it is right twice a day. The clock works but the gears inside it will not let you set the correct time. Now, if that is the only thing that you are looking at when you get behind the wheel of this black beauty then you are not channeling your inner Bandit and not driving this car the way that it should be. Folks, this car is ready to drive right away. Turn the key, put her in drive, and instantly become the Bandit that you always wanted to be. This ladies and gentleman is not the kind of car that you want to buy if you are a shy person. This car is going to draw attention where ever you go.
