Created for the U.S. market in partnership with Zagato, the DB AR1 (American Roadster 1) is an ultra-exclusive variant of the iconic Aston Martin DB7. A mere 99 were built, all as an open top two-seat roadster with hand-formed Zagato coachwork. This example, chassis # 00062, has been driven only 469 miles since being delivered new in Houston, Texas. It is finished in Roadster Green over Soft White, a colour combination matching the original AR1 that made its world debut at the 2003 Los Angeles Auto Show. Every AR1 is powered by a 435bhp 5.9L V12 engine, which is paired in this case with the desirable 6-speed manual gearbox. The hand-crafted interior is appointed with quilted leather seating and color-matched Roadster Green inlays, and the car features optional five-spoke alloy wheels. In lieu of a traditional top, a serial numbered cover was delivered with each AR1 and will be included. This example remains one of the lowest mileage AR1s in existence and represents an incredibly rare investment opportunity.
