65 Impala SS, originally equipped with a 396, 4-speed and air conditioning. Most of the 65s you see are small block cars with automatics and no air. This one has had the 396 replaced with a 468 (bored 454), and still retains the 4-speed, 12 bolt rear end, and air option. Body has been off the frame, quarters have been replaced and is ready for final prime and paint. Trunk and floors are solid and need no attention. Frame has been prepped and painted, front suspension is rebuilt. Sitting on 4 GM rallye wheels. Includes many new in the box exterior emblems and all the exterior trim seems to be there. Only thing we have noticed missing is the front and back glass. Console, shifter, buckets, and dash are intact and rebuildable.
Comes with a second 65 Impala 2 door hardtop for parts that may be missing or in need of replacement. This car has the better hood, fenders, core support, inner front fenders, back glass and numerous fastners. Parts car is a roller with no engine or trans.
This is a good way to get into an Impala SS project without breaking the bank. Finished cars are advertised well above $20K. You get to pick the color on this one, and if you have the ability to do the work yourself, you could save big on the car you have always wanted.
