Description

1965 Ford Custom 500 - Awesome Cruiser!!!4 Door 289, V-8 Automatic Transmission. This car has been my daily driver for 2 1/2 years. 124,500 actual miles. Only 3 owners since 65. This car runs like a top. I bought in October 2010 & since then I have put about 46K miles on it, including a 3 week cruise to Big Bend National Park in West Texas. Body - Great Shape. Only a couple of small paint chips need to be covered. Drivetrain - has performed flawlessly. I average about 16 MPG. Interior - I would say it's "Fair". New authentic Ford Crown Emblem floormats from Dearborn Classics. If you want to spend any money to make a show car, it needs new carpet, seat covers, etc.
THE GOOD- I have replaced the following: battery, carburetor, starter & selinoid, voltage regulator, alternator, water pump, brake master cylinder. I also have original purchase documents & a $75 Ford Shop Manual Reprint!
THE BAD - Horn - doesn't work. I have original horn rim, but don't know how to fix wiring issue in the steering column. A/C - After market Montgomery Ward aftermarket AC. It works, but mountinig bracket is screwed up. Tires - still look good & have tread left, but need replacing soon. Call 731-414-5594.
