Description

#1 OF 1 IN THIS COLOR COMBINATION!! FACTORY MOULTON LAMBSKIN CARPETING. GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, RARE COLLECTORS PIECE! ALL ORIGINAL, UNRESTORED SURVIVOR WITH JUST 1 REPAINT. 34,000 ORIGINAL MILES!

The 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham is a hand-built, Limited-Edition (only 400 built in 1957- only 704 built total between 57 & 58!) four-door hardtop sedan with the Suicide Doors Feature (for additional comfort with easy ingress and egress). The Brougham featured Americas first completely pillarless four-door body styling. The ventipanes were electrically controlled. The Brougham was further distinguished by a brushed stainless steel roof, the first appearance of quad headlights, totally unique trim and the first full-fledged fins that would grow enormously in future models. Each feature of the Brougham, as the car itself, was designed to improve comfort, safety and convenience for the driver and passengers. The car came with an extensive array of options and equipment. The 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham has often been compared to the 1956-1957 Continental Mark II. It has even been said that the Brougham was GMs response to Fords second-generation Continental.
This ultra-luxury car retailed in 1957 for an astonishing price of $13,074. Twice the price of any other 1957 Eldorado and more than the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud of the same year. Finished in Ebony Black with Brushed Stainless Steel Roof, Interior Trim Code 444 - Beige Plain Broad Cloth and with Beige Leather Upholstery. It is one of only 5 57s produced with the very seldom seen Trim Code 444: Beige Plain Broadcloth with Beige Leather upholstery. This is a one-of color combination with the Mouton lambskin carpeting [in 1957, two other Broughams had the beige trim with mouton carpeting: #175 and #268; however, it is indeed the sole BLACK Brougham with said trim and carpets]. A very powerful and torquey Tri-Power V-8 365 cubic inch / 335 horsepower engine *** Air Ride Suspension* whitewall tires * automatic trunk lid opener & closer *automatic memory seat * Cruise Control * high-pressure cooling system * polarized sun visors * Signal-Seeking twin speaker radio * electric antenna * automatic-release parking brake * electric door locks * dual heating system * automatic starter (with re-start function) * Autronic-Eye * drum-type electric clock * power windows * forged aluminum wheels * air conditioning * and more.

#1 OF 1 IN THIS COLOR COMBINATION FOR 1957. THIS CAR IS ABSOLUTLEY ALL ORIGINAL, WITH JUST 1 REPAINT. 34,000 ORIGINAL MILES! The interior is all original and near perfect. That really tells you alot about the originality of a car there. Another interesting fact of how substantial these cars were is that it actually cost Cadillac an estimated $25,000.00 to produce these cars and they sold for $13,074, of which was still the most expensive car in the world. Imagine that. Losing $12K per car... That is like giving every buyer of an Eldorado Brougham (5 1/2) 57 chevys on top of the car!

The Eldorado Brougham has recently become sort of a supernova in the car collection world. It rightfully deserved it in the beginning, but it kind of has waited for its day until all the collectors were experienced enough to recognize and appreciate what this car is comprised of. Own the others first so you can actually appreciate these cars.. Its an ongoing assignment of your car collection education. Going in just a few short years from a 40K car to some hitting near 300K, the Eldorado Brougham is now a star piece for any collection.

SURE TO SKY-ROCKET IN VALUE IN THE FUTURE, THIS CAR IS TRULY A SHOW QUALITY VEHICLE. YOU CAN DRIVE AND/OR SHOW THIS CAR WITH GREAT, GREAT PRIDE. THIS CAR CURRENTLY BOOKS FOR $153,500 ON WWW.NADA.COM. A true opportunity for collectors to acquire a fabulous and very special car that will always be a significant part of motoring history and that is sure to appreciate in value. INVEST WITH CONFIDENCE AND ENJOY!!
