Description

Vintage Camaros are always a safe place to park some money. No stock marked ups and downs, just a cool piece of hardware you can drive and enjoy while the market moves. Will this 1967 SS tribute make you rich overnight? No. But itll always have an eager group of guys looking to buy, and if youre such a person, well, heres your chance. The cool thing about first-generation Camaros is that they can be anything from a grocery getter to a fire-breathing road course monster. Most of them fall in the middle, with cars like this lovely Madiera Maroon coupe making up a vast majority of the F-bodies youll see at shows and cruise nights around the country. Its really nice, too, with a recent paint job over some laser-straight sheetmetal that means pros did the work, not some guy in his garage on weekends. They added a cowl-induction hood, which should have been standard equipment because it looks so right as well as a set of white SS stripes from nose to tail. A proper blacked-out SS grille up front combines with the badges on the front fenders to make it impossible to mistake this Camaro for anything else on the road. Chrome and bright trim is in good shape, and I, for one, am a fan of the front vent windows, which disappeared after 1967 but make a big difference in interior comfort. Speaking of interior comfort, the fresh black deluxe buckets are beautifully finished, complete with original-style silver stripes. A correct center console gives it a highly finished and polished look inside, and comes with a set of cleverly integrated auxiliary gauges that almost look factory-installed. New carpets duplicate the original weave and pattern and are protected by Camaro-logo floor mats so theyll look good for years to come. A Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit has been installed and still sounds great. It appears that the gauges are original, and it carries a 5000-RPM tachometer which is always a desirable option. In back, the trunk offers correct spatter-finish paint and a new mat that fits quite well and hasnt wrinkled up like a lot of repro mats tend to do. Its hard to beat a 350 Chevy for performance, and in the Camaro, a small block means handling is nimble, too. Fitted with an Edelbrock intake, double-hump heads, and a big 4-barrel carburetor, this one pulls like a freight train with the most delicious V8 snarl from the twin pipes out back. A full Edelbrock dress-up kit gives it a period performance look, and the bright Chevy Orange paint still shows well despite being a few years old now. Thanks to a mild cam, it starts quickly and idles quite well and with a TH350 3-speed automatic, its easy to drive in town or out on the open road. The fuel tank and exhaust are brand new, and the floors are spotless thanks to a lifetime down south. 14-inch Rallys look great wearing fat 235/60/14 BFGoodrich T/A radials, the tire of choice on vintage muscle. Fast and clean, this early Camaro will let you forget about investments and chasing every last penny, and instead enjoy the ride. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom.
