Lincoln Mercury's up market Car was built on the Mustang chassis design and body shell. It was introduced two years behind the Mustang and was an upscale, upmarket Pony Car.
The 69' Cougar is the second series with a wider and longer body on the 111" wheelbase with the convertible offering. It had nicer features including power steering and front disc brakes. The Power Booster and master cylinder and suspension have been upgraded. An attractive car with a combination of power and performance. It was the last of the true Pony Cougars. This two owner 1969 cougar is a preserved California Car. It retains the correct 351 CID motor and transmission with an updated intake manifold and carburetor and has a new dual exhaust system.
