Only produced for one year, the 911 L was introduced in 1968. The L is the name stood for ‘Late mode'. Featuring the same 130 horsepower as the original 911, the 911L was the most expensive of the 911s since the 911S wasn't available in the US in 1968.
Only a total of 449 911L's were ever produced, and they all featured production dates after October 1967.
Considered to be a very rare find, the 1968 Porsche 911L came with a soft rear window targa. The 911L joined the updated 911 range in 1967 which later would include the T and S models. This Porsche features a standard 5 speed transmission this original came with a 1991cc air-cooled engine.The top speed of the Porsche 911L was 131 mph.
This Porsche is all original with the only modification being over-sized pistons, putting this car from 2.0L to 2.3L. The Rebuilt Carbs have recently been synced. This car was skillfully repainted & restored 2 years ago and still looks absolutely fresh.
The originally 130 HP engine with the upgraded pistons gives you the 160HP you truly desire.
This engine has undergone a full rebuilt including pistons & tubs less than 1k miles ago.
Brand new rear suspension: struts, shocks, wheel cylinders, brake calipers, & rotors. Front suspension is in great shape and did not need to be rebuilt.
The interior has been restored to original condition with the exception of a new speedometer.
