The International Travelall was introduced in 1953 and was indeed a very unique vehicle. Many automotive historians credit International Harvester and its Travelall as being the first SUV with functional four wheel drive. Many Travelalls were produced with raised roofs and extended wheelbases to be used as school buses, ambulanced and airport limos. The Travelall you see here is believed to be an original truck, with the exception of new paint and vinyl wood grain. The paint has a great shine and is finished in the original color of green. The steel bumpers have some minor pitting and scratching but still hold a great shine. This is a beautiful example of International Harvesters Travelall! When you look inside the truck, you will find that the original interior is still intact from 1971. This Travelall has the original black vinyl and cloth interior from the day it rolled off the line. The front bench seat does have some wear as you can see in the photos, which is typical of a vehicle this age. The black carpet inside is in great condition. This Travelall also comes equipped with A/C. The second row seat folds down for more storage. Under the hood, the engine bay is clean and houses the big 392 Cu In V8 thats connected to an automatic transmission. The truck also has power steering, power brakes and A/C. The compressor currently does not have a belt. The engine compartment is very clean and original and if you look close, youll see numbers written on many of the parts. The gentleman we purchased the truck from was so anal retentive that he dated every part he ever replaced on the truck! From the exhaust to the battery to the brake booster, everything that he replaced has been documented right on the part! The wheels appear to be original for the truck and are wrapped in newer P225/75R16 Goodyears. The VIN number on this truck is 112107H170614 and the mileage shows 69,021, which is believed to be original.
