Custom built Lotus "Rotus" 7 tribute car. Completely hand built by C. Custer, Toyota dealer and SCCA racer, and Dennis Hedges, master craftsman. This is not a kit car and is the last car built by Rotus Ltd.
Rotus of Frederick Md made numerous race inspired improvements to the original Lotus / Caterham design. Base on an original set of Lotus plans this car is four inches wider and ten inches longer than original and can accomodate a 6'3" driver.
This car has been featured in numerous Peterson Publishing magazines including one centerfold spread written by David Fetherstone. The meticulous design accurately replicates the lines of Colin Chapman's classic car. The quality of craftsmanship is unequaled with flawlwss attention to detail. Note some highlights:
- Tig welded powder coated tubular steel frame. 1" square 0.051 no 1010 steel.
